Privacy Policy

Consilens is designed around private questions, bounded data retention, and clear account control. This page explains the consumer chat privacy baseline for the current pre-launch product.

Information we collect

We collect the account details you provide, such as email address and encrypted authentication credentials. We also store chat conversations, message metadata, selected model configuration, usage counters, and billing entitlement records so the app can work across devices.

If you attach images or PDFs, Consilens stores attachment metadata and, where needed, temporary files for review. PDF retention is currently limited to 24 hours on Consilens-controlled storage unless a shorter operational limit applies.

How we use information

We use your information to operate the chat app, route questions to model providers, enforce spend and fair-use limits, preserve conversation history, troubleshoot failures, and process billing or support requests.

When live model calls are enabled, relevant parts of your prompt, conversation context, and attachments may be sent to selected AI model providers for the purpose of answering your question.

Model providers and processors

Consilens may use providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Apple, and related infrastructure services. Provider availability changes over time, and Consilens may choose different providers based on routing, cost, safety, and product quality.

We do not sell consumer chat content. We do not intentionally use your private chats to build advertising profiles.

Retention

Conversation history is retained so you can return to prior threads. Temporary document uploads are designed to expire quickly; PDF retention is currently 24 hours. Image retention may be longer for conversation continuity but is still treated as private account data.

Operational logs, spend ledgers, entitlement records, and billing-event records may be retained as needed for security, abuse prevention, accounting, and compliance.

Your choices

You can request account deletion from the account deletion page. You can also contact privacy@consilens.com for privacy, access, export, or correction requests.

Deleting the app from your device does not automatically cancel paid subscriptions or delete server-side account records.
